Ration Unavailable to the Digital Ration Card Holders at Banarhat

Webdesk, TNI Banarhat, 29th November, 2016: People from Banarhat is very much in trouble due to the unavailability of ration through the digital ration card, which they have received at least 3 months back. Today they staged an agitation in front of the office of Food Supply inspector located at Banarhat 1 No. Gram Panchayat Office. It is reported that at Totapara Bazar area a total of 153 families with 703 people have received their respective digital ration cards. The affected residents told the press that in the new ration card the name of the dealer is mentioned is the name of the Manager of the adjacent Tea Garden. The concerned Manager has rejected to distribute any ration to the families. They are deprived of the 35 kgs of rice every month due to the problem. The panchayat pradhan have assured to take note of the situation and would take necessary action to remove the problem. Later the agitated family members removed the agitation for the day.
